What should I bring to a retreat?
We recommend bringing comfortable clothing suitable for meditation and the local climate, personal toiletries, any medications you require, a reusable water bottle, a journal for reflections, and any personal meditation items you regularly use (such as a shawl or cushion). A detailed packing list will be provided upon registration.
Are the retreats suitable for beginners?
Yes, most of our retreats accommodate participants of all experience levels. The Mountain Mindfulness and Coastal Calm retreats are particularly well-suited for beginners. Our experienced facilitators provide clear guidance and support throughout the retreat. For more advanced practices, the Rainforest Renewal Retreat is recommended for those with at least some meditation experience.
What is the accommodation like?
Accommodation varies by retreat location but is always comfortable and conducive to a peaceful experience. Options range from private rooms with ensuite bathrooms at our Mountain Mindfulness retreat to shared eco-cabins at our Coastal Calm retreat. All accommodations are thoughtfully designed to complement the natural surroundings while providing necessary amenities for your comfort.
What about dietary restrictions?
We can accommodate most dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options. All meals are prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients, often locally sourced. Please inform us of any dietary requirements or allergies when you register, and our chefs will ensure your meals are both nourishing and suitable for your needs.
Is there a cancellation policy?
Yes, we understand that circumstances can change. Cancellations made more than 60 days before the retreat start date receive a full refund minus a $100 administrative fee. Cancellations 30-60 days prior receive a 50% refund. Cancellations less than 30 days before the retreat are non-refundable, but you may transfer your registration to another person or apply your payment toward a future retreat within one year.
